The offerings consist of the Four Sacred Herbs; Tobacco, Sage, Sweetgrass, and Cedar, and seasonally may include our exclusive items such as Tobacco Blossoms and other treasures grown in our own garden.

Snow on Water

Snow on Water is my collection of poetry, essays, artwork and photography created in a ten-year walking meditation with focus on compassion and awakening through mantra and haiku. Over seventy-five hundred miles walked and four thousand poems are the foundation for the multimedia body of work that has appeared in print and online journals, books and at conferences on haiku and haiga, the illustrated form. The site links to video site YouTube and audio resource SoundCloud, and also features work in ceramic, on stone, scrolls, handmade book, and animation.

Snow on Water’s SoundCloud channel contains a variety of original compositions, from soundtracks to spoken word essays, stories, and haiku. Many of the pieces have been performed on radio and the web. The Snow on Water soundtrack has been performed in galleries and exhibition spaces as accompaniment to installations of work in haiku. “Signet” and “Solstice” are from The Rose soundtrack to accompany exhibitions and presentations of the work appearing here on Brush and Drum.

Snow on Water’s YouTube channel features a variety of videos from solo guitar performances on television to poetry videos for exhibition in galleries and installations.

Katherine Henry has been a Fine Art photographer her whole life. Originally working in Black and White silver-based media, she still maintains a black and white darkroom, but today works primarily in digital formats as a Fine Art printer as well. Her sculptural sensibility is apparent in the patinas of aging buildings and the play of the planes of the architectural masterpieces she renders anew with her lens. Her work from around the world  brings a literary sense of the storyteller to her canvas as she invites us to linger in the old spaces that most pass by.

A Lit Jellyfish

Poet Michelle Tennison’s (Murmuration, Red Moon Press 2016) celebrates the subliminal connections between ourselves and the fluid reality that is our collective consciousness. An outgrowth of a surrealist parlor game from a hundred years ago, this work is as fresh and compelling today, bringing a sense of another voice present within our own, with a perspective beyond our ordinary reach. This site features contributions from many collaborative authors, working blindly to answer unseen questions posed by another author. The results are profound and timely, compelling in their honesty and stunning in their raw beauty.

Atelier Annex

Atelier Annex is many things, including the rotating studios for visual arts, ceramics, metalwork, work in textiles, black and white photography, camps and education, audio recording, digital printing, graphic design and gallery space. We are housed in a former dairy farm, sporting two barns dedicated to making art and helping the people who love it  find inspiration all around them. We have hosted many artists over the years in our five star apartment, now a dedicated printing studio. The company represents the work of Snow on Water, Arcadia Park Designs, Atelier Cartes and others when operating a brick and mortar gallery. Today our offerings include Brush and Drum books and offerings as well.

Arcadia Park Designs

Arcadia Park Designs is the art and design studio of Katherine Henry. Her photography and sculptural works are in collections throughout the US and in Europe. Raised in a family of artists, her career has spanned the gamut of creative endeavors; consultant, gallerist, studio and creative director, arts administrator and educator.    Currently she pursues her love of fine art photography, textile design and functional art while also continuing a life long study of the history of art.
